Forum "SPHERE": For doctors - for the benefit of patients!

On September 17-19, the II International Embolization Forum Sphere was held in Grozny, where the world medical and scientific community discussed the most pressing issues of the current state and development of endovascular surgery.

The Forum was co-organized by the Ministry of Health of the Chechen Republic with the support of RK Group LLC. It was attended by about 180 leading specialists (neurosurgeons, oncologists, obstetricians and gynecologists, doctors in X-ray endovascular diagnostics and treatment, pediatricians, cardiologists and neurologists) from Russia and Kazakhstan, as well as the USA and Israel (in online format).

On the first day of the Forum, its delegates visited RK Group LLC, where they were given an excursion to a factory for the production of medical devices, which, as is known, was opened two years ago with the support of the Head of the Chechen Republic, Hero of Russia Ramzan Akhmatovich Kadyrov. Here, rengten surgeons had the opportunity to get acquainted directly with the process of creating coronary stents and balloon catheters used by them in their daily medical practice.

On the second day, the official opening of the Sphere Forum took place, which was attended by high-ranking guests, including the Minister of Health of the Chechen Republic, Elkhan Suleymanov, Director of the Bakulev National Research Medical Center for Cardiovascular Surgery. Elena Golukhova and others.

In his speech, Elkhan Abdullayevich noted that endovascular surgery has been actively developed in the Chechen Republic: several thousand endovascular interventions are performed annually in three medical organizations of the Chechen Republic. "The development of endovascular technologies in the republic is facilitated by the operation of the RK Group plant for the production of consumables and products for endovascular interventions," he added.

Elena Zelikovna also spoke about the importance of holding the Forum in Grozny, according to which the attention that the leadership of the region pays to the medical industry is important and valuable. Later, accompanied by Deputy Minister of Health Timur Inderbiev, Elena Zelikova visited the Republican Clinical Hospital of War Veterans named after M.T. Inderbiev.

Here, together with Karen Petrosyan, Head of the Department of X-ray Surgical Methods of Heart and Vascular Research and Treatment at the Bakulev National Research Medical Center, Maryam Khisimikova, General Director of the M.T. Inderbiev RCGV, and Lilia Muradova, Chief Pediatric Cardiologist at the Ministry of Health of the Chechen Republic, she conducted a patient consultation. Following the examination, patients with cardiovascular diseases, including children, were selected to provide prompt medical care at the Bakulev National Research Medical Center.

Next, the guests got acquainted with the organization of medical care at the Limb Rescue Center and the Phlebology Center, which operate on the basis of the M.T. Inderbiev RCGV. During the inspection of the departments, colleagues from the Bakulev National Research Medical Center talked with the medical staff of the institution and patients undergoing inpatient treatment. The specialists highly appreciated the technical equipment of the hospital and noted the great professionalism of the medical staff of the institution.

After that, the Minister of Health of the Chechen Republic, Elkhan Suleymanov, met with Elena Golukhova, Director of the Bakulev National Medical Research Center for Cardiovascular Surgery. They discussed the current state and potential of the cardiology service of the Chechen Republic. At the end of the meeting, an agreement was signed between the Ministry of Health of the Chechen Republic and the Bakulev National Research Medical Center on cooperation and interaction at all levels in the field of cardiac surgery.

Elena Zelikova also visited the RK Group. The director of the Bakulev National Research Medical Center highly appreciated the production of high-tech medical devices, emphasizing that the plant's work is organized in the best possible way, in compliance with all rules and requirements.

As part of the Forum's program, its speakers presented modern technologies based on embolization methods in the treatment of oncological, neurovascular, cardiovascular, pediatric, gynecological, urological diseases, as well as injuries and wounds.

Commenting on the results of the Forum, Rajeev Kumar, CEO of RK Group LLC, noted that the idea of holding an International Embolizacin Forum in Grozny was far from an accidental decision. "The main goal of our Forum was to bring together the global medical community here in Grozny to better address existing issues, including the exchange of practical experience," he said.

According to R. Kumar, endovascular surgery is one of the modern and most effective directions in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of diseases, including such common ones as cardiovascular. "Therefore, the arrival of leading specialists in this field in the republic is, in my opinion, very significant for our medicine. The forum changed the doctors' opinion about Grozny, because they were able to see firsthand that everything was organized at a high level. I am sure that the Sphere forum has contributed to improving the image of both the healthcare of the region and, in general, the republic. I hope that its results and decisions will benefit the enormous work that is being done in Russia to save people's health," R. Kumar summed up.

A rich scientific and cultural program was organized for the participants over the course of three days. They took part in topical sessions on modern issues of endovascular surgery, various trainings and seminars, exhibitions, and competitions. In addition, we had the opportunity to see the capital of the Chechen Republic, the city of Grozny.

The Sphere Forum is the largest event in the field of embolization, uniting almost all areas of medicine. Its goal is to consolidate the medical pharmacological and bioengineering communities for the search and implementation of new technologies in medical practice.

We should add that the ANO Center for the Development of Medical and Social Technologies Sphere, Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, Congress Center LLC, the Association of Young Interventional Radiologists and Endovascular Specialists and the Radiologiya-Press publishing house also participated in the preparation of the II International Sphere Forum in Grozny.
